The Turmeric & Sandalwood Purifying Mask is a deliberately minimal formula — 15 ingredients, every one selected for a specific function. Nothing is decorative.

The clay system uses three distinct clays, each chosen for what the others cannot do. Bentonite has the strongest adsorptive capacity of any cosmetic clay — it draws deep-seated impurities, excess sebum and environmental toxins from pores through electrical charge attraction. French Pink Clay (Illite) — a premium clay from France rarely used in mass-market formulation — provides gentler purification alongside mineralising properties from its iron oxide content. White Kaolin is the gentlest grade, working at the surface level without the aggressive stripping that pure Bentonite can cause on sensitive skin. Used together, they purify at every depth.

Magnesium Carbonate provides additional oil control through a different mineral mechanism — a fourth absorptive agent working alongside the three clays.

Turmeric root extract (Curcuma Longa) standardised for curcumin is the brightening active. Curcumin's mechanism of action on skin is well-documented: it inhibits tyrosinase (the enzyme that drives melanin synthesis), reduces cyclooxygenase-2 inflammatory pathways that cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and provides antioxidant protection during the mask period.

After the clays have drawn and the turmeric has brightened, Santalum Album (Mysore Sandalwood) oil cools and tones the skin as the mask is rinsed. Rosa Damascena Flower Oil provides additional soothing and its natural fragrance. The two botanicals convert the rinsing step from functional to ceremonial.

Apply a generous layer to clean skin. Leave for 12–15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Use weekly — the glow typically lasts 48–72 hours.

1. Cleanse
Begin with clean skin by using a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and impurities.
2. Apply
Apply a thin, even layer of PRANA Turmeric & Sandalwood Face Mask to the face and neck using clean fingers or a brush.
3. Relax
Allow the mask to dry for 15–20 minutes.
4. Rinse
Gently rinse off with lukewarm water and pat skin dry.
5. Use Weekly
Use twice a week for best results and visibly clearer, glowing skin.
