The Bakuchiol Night Restorative Serum is a pure dry face oil — completely anhydrous (water-free), based on plant-derived Squalane. Squalane is a skin-identical lipid derived from sugarcane or olives that absorbs without residue and does not clog pores. Unlike many facial oils, this formula leaves no greasy film — the Coconut Alkanes and Coco-Caprylate/Caprate create a silky dry-oil texture that absorbs in under 30 seconds.

Bakuchiol — from the seeds of the babchi plant (Psoralea Corylifolia) — has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 2,000 years. In 2018 the British Journal of Dermatology published a double-blind, randomised controlled trial directly comparing bakuchiol to retinol. The conclusion: equivalent results in reducing fine lines and improving firmness, with statistically significantly less irritation and sun sensitivity.

Five skin-renewing seed oils support the bakuchiol: Rosehip (Rosa Canina) for its natural retinol precursor trans-retinoic acid; Raspberry Seed (Rubus Idaeus) for its exceptional omega-3 content; Crambe Abyssinica for erucic acid barrier repair; Sweet Almond for softening; Wheat Germ for vitamin E overnight protection.

Beta-Carotene, Xanthophylls and Tocopherol provide antioxidant protection through the night — precisely when skin cell turnover peaks (11pm–4am). Neroli (Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Oil) provides the naturally occurring fragrance and its own documented skin-toning properties.

Olive Squalane:
